Summer has officially arrived in Halifax, and with it comes one of our favourite things about Nova Scotia: getting outside and enjoying the incredible activities happening throughout our communities.
This week, we captured a beach volleyball game along the Halifax waterfront, where players were making the most of the sunshine, fresh ocean air, and friendly competition. It’s a great reminder that staying active doesn’t have to feel like a workout — sometimes it looks like laughing with friends, diving into the sand, and spending an evening outdoors.
Whether you’re looking to improve your fitness, meet new people, or simply try something different this summer, now is the perfect time to join a local team, sign up for a league, or explore a new activity. From beach volleyball and pickleball to hiking groups, running clubs, paddleboarding, and community sports, there are countless ways to get involved across Nova Scotia.
As the saying goes:
“Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.”
At Portall, we’re passionate about highlighting the people, places, and experiences that make Nova Scotia such an incredible place to live, work, and explore. Throughout the year, we’ll continue sharing local events, community activities, wellness opportunities, and hidden experiences that bring our communities together.
So grab some friends, get outside, support local activities, and make this summer one to remember.
Your next adventure is closer than you think. 🌊
